Why Laydn exists

Built the other way round

Finding and filling freight work in the UK often means commission on every job, auctions that push rates down, or a price that climbs with every extra seat. The people doing the driving do the hard work, and too much of the money ends up somewhere else.

Laydn turns that round. Shippers put the rate on the load when they post it, so carriers can see what a job pays before they put their hand up. There's no bidding and no commission. Everyone pays one flat membership with unlimited users, whether they post loads, carry them or both.

And it's more than a list of loads. Laydr sends matching loads to a carrier's phone, Backloads suggests work for the way home, and Planr plans a whole day's route. Each job is tracked from award to a signed delivery.

Software, not a broker

Laydn doesn't sit in the middle of your jobs. The shipper chooses the carrier, the two of them agree the details directly, and payment is between them. Laydn provides the board and the tools, and never takes a cut of the rate.

Straight with you

We only publish loads that show a rate. Insurance and licence documents are shown as uploaded, and we say plainly that Laydn doesn't check them. While the board grows, Laydn is free to use, and you'll get a month's notice before anything is charged.
