For hauliers, couriers and owner driversHow to find loads and keep the wheels turning.
Looking for haulage work, courier jobs or a load home? Every load on Laydn shows the rate up front, so there's no bidding. Put your hand up in a tap, let Laydr tell you when work lands in your area, and keep all of it: Laydn takes no commission.
- The rate on every load
- No bidding
- 0% commission
How it works
From the board to a signed delivery.
Three steps, all on your phone. No quotes to write and nobody taking a slice.
-

01
Find it
Browse priced loads on the board and filter to what fits, or let Laydr alert you when one lands in your area.
-

02
Put your hand up
Tap I want this job and the shipper is notified. Add a note about your vehicle or timing if it helps.
-

03
Win it, move it
When the shipper awards you the job, their details unlock. Collect it, deliver it and get it signed for on your phone.
The board
Every load shows the rate.
Open the board and each live load shows the route, the vehicle and body it needs, the weight, the collection and delivery windows, and what it pays. Filter by vehicle, body, area and date, or switch to the map to see what's near you.
Laydn only publishes priced loads, so you know what a job is worth before you pick up the phone. There's no auction and no quote to write: if the rate works for you, put your hand up.
- Route, vehicle, body, weight and times on every load
- Filter by vehicle, body, area and date, or use the map
- Priced loads only, never "price on application"

Laydr, load alerts
Let the work find you.
Set up an alert once: an anchor postcode, how far you'll drive to collect, the vehicle you're running and the hours you want to work. Laydr checks every new load against it and sends a push notification to your phone when one matches, straight away or batched, your choice.
So you don't have to sit refreshing the board between drops. Set different alerts for different routes or vehicles, and each one tidies itself away when its time is up.
- Anchor postcode, distance, vehicle and hours
- Push notifications straight away, or batched
- As many alerts as you need

Backloads, return loads
Find a load for the way home.
An empty run home costs fuel and time. Open any load and Laydn suggests return loads that start near where you'll drop, ranked on distance from your drop, whether the timing works, the money and your vehicle.
It's a shortlist, not a booking: you still put your hand up for each backload, and the shipper still chooses.
- Return loads near your drop, best matches first
- Wrong vehicle ruled out, near-fit bodies still shown
- Turn a one-way job into a round trip

Planr, day planner
Plan a full day's work.
Give Planr your starting point, the date and your vehicle, and it chains live loads from the board into a day's route, keeping the empty miles between jobs down and heading you back towards home at the end.
Planr suggests the day and shows what it adds up to. You still put your hand up for each load on it.
- Several live loads chained into one day
- Fewer empty miles between legs
- See the day's total before you commit

Who it's for
One board, van to artic.
Owner drivers, courier firms and haulage fleets all look for work in the same place, on the same flat membership.
Owner drivers
One truck or one van and no office. Set your area, get alerts on your phone and plan a full day with Planr.
Courier firms
Vans and Lutons are on the board, loads can be posted for collection today, and your whole office can use one membership.
Hauliers and fleets
Rigids to artics. Fill empty legs with backloads, and add your drivers so they can confirm jobs from their phones.
Why carriers join
Work that pays what it says.
The rate up front
Every load shows what it pays, so you can decide in seconds and skip the haggling.
No commission
Laydn never takes a cut of the rate. One flat membership and the job is yours.
Ratings both ways
After each completed job, you and the shipper rate each other. Shippers with a strong record carry a Trusted or Top Rated badge on the board.
Documents in one place
Upload your insurance and licences once. Shippers see them as uploaded; Laydn doesn't check them, so keep them in date.
How to find loads in the UK
Laydn is a UK freight exchange where shippers post loads and carriers find them. If you run a van, a Luton, a rigid or an artic, you can use it to find haulage work, courier work and return loads, see what each job pays before you commit, and keep all of it: Laydn takes no commission.
Haulage work and full loads
Shippers post pallets, part-loads and full loads with the vehicle and body they need, the weight, the collection and delivery windows and the price. Filter the board to your vehicle and area, or set a Laydr alert and let matching loads come to you.
Courier work and same-day jobs
Loads can be posted for collection today or a later date, and vans and Lutons sit on the same board as the bigger vehicles. Courier firms can put their whole team on one membership, so whoever's in the office can look for work.
Owner driver jobs
If you're an owner driver, Laydn does a lot of the looking for you. Laydr watches your area, Planr turns live loads into a full day's route, and Backloads looks for work near your last drop, so less of your day goes on phone calls and empty miles.
Return loads and backloads
An empty leg home costs you fuel and time. Open any load and Laydn suggests backloads near where you'll drop, ranked on distance, timing, money and your vehicle. You still put your hand up for each one, and the shipper still chooses who moves it.
No bidding, no commission
The shipper sets the rate when they post, so there's no auction. When you're awarded a job you deal with the shipper directly and agree the collection between you. Laydn is the software, not a broker, and never takes a cut.

Questions
Finding loads on Laydn
How do I find loads on Laydn?
Join free, then open the board. Every live load shows the route, vehicle, weight, collection and delivery times and the rate. Filter to what fits, or set a Laydr alert for your area. When you see one you want, tap I want this job and the shipper is notified. If they award it to you, their contact details unlock so you can arrange the collection.
How much does it cost to find loads?
Nothing during launch. After that it's one flat membership, the same for everyone, with unlimited users. Laydn never takes a cut of the rate you agree with the shipper, and you'll get a month's notice before anything is charged.
Can I find return loads and backloads?
Yes. Open any load and Laydn suggests loads that start near where you'll drop, ranked on distance, timing, money and your vehicle. It's a shortlist: you still put your hand up for each backload, and the shipper still chooses.
Is Laydn good for courier work?
Laydn covers everything from vans and Lutons to rigids and artics, so courier firms and van drivers can look for work on the same board as hauliers. Loads can be posted for collection today or a later date. Set a Laydr alert for your area and van to hear when a matching load is posted.
Can owner drivers find work on Laydn?
Yes. Laydn is built for one-truck and one-van operators as much as for fleets. Set your area with Laydr, plan a day's work with Planr, look for a load home with Backloads, and see the rate before you commit. One membership covers all of it.
Do I have to bid for loads?
No. The shipper sets the rate when they post, so there's no auction and no race to the bottom. If the rate works for you, put your hand up. If it doesn't, move on to the next one.
Is Laydn a broker?
No. Laydn is the software, not a broker. The shipper awards the job and you deal with them directly: you agree the collection and delivery between you, and payment is between you and them. Laydn takes no commission.
What do I need to get started?
An email address and a few minutes. Join free with your name, company and phone number, and you can look at the board straight away. You can also upload your insurance and licences so shippers can see them when you put your hand up. They're shown as uploaded, and Laydn doesn't check them.
Got wheels? Put them to work.
Join free while we grow the board. See the rate on every load, let Laydr watch your area, and keep every penny of the rate.
